9U & 8U TEXAS BLOWOUT Tournament

This is a legitimate 6 game guarantee tournament with a max of 10 games spanning over 4 days! Friday night games are OPTIONAL for teams that want to start Friday night! 4 pool games Friday through Sunday. 1 bracket seeding game on Sunday night. Then a single elimination tournament on Monday October 13th based on the results of the 5 prior games.

Schedule:
Friday – October 10 – Optional pool games for teams that want/can play (No gate fee on Friday) 
Saturday – October 11 – 2 or 3 pool games per team
Sunday – October 12 – 1 or 2 pool games in morning/afternoon. Then 1 bracket seeding game at night. Roughly teams with same pool record will face each other in a 75 min game to solidify the standings for Monday. This will make the pool standings VERY accurate and create an intense 5th game. 
Monday – October 13 – Teams are broken into 3 Single Elimination brackets based on the 5 game results with championship game starting around 4pm. Top 3rd teams will be in Diamond Bracket. Middle 3rd will be in Gold Bracket. Bottom 3rd will be in Silver Bracket.

Cost:
$650 but NO Pay at the Plate for Umpires! 
We also provide softballs for the games to umpires!

How Does a Bracket Play in Game Work:
Since we are doing a single elimination, I want the pool standings to be as accurate as possible. So all teams will play 4 pool games and then their 5th will be a Bracket Play in Game that is 75 minutes. Roughly teams with the same pool record will face each other. For example, the #1 seed that goes 4-0 will face another 4-0 team, then a 3-1 team will face another 3-1 team and so on and so on. However, I will try my best to NOT allow rematches from the 4 pool games. These bracket play in games will have major consequences on the pool standings and create an intense game. 

Game Rules:
6 Game Guarantee (4 Pool Games + 1 Bracket Seeding Game + Single Elimination Bracket)
Teams will only play games on Friday night if they want to
Championship game is on Monday and will begin around 4pm  
No 8am Games!
Game balls provided to umpires for both teams to use!
No PAP. Umpires are paid by tournament director.
Tournament schedule set at least 2 weeks before the event!
Constant communication from TD so that the schedule is as favorable as possible.
All pool games will be 60 min and finish the inning. Can end in a tie.
Bracket Seeding Game and all bracket games will be 75 min and finish the inning.
6 runs max per half inning
Run Rule – 10 after 3 - 8 after 4 – 7 after 5.
You can bat 9, 10 or the entire lineup. (NO FLEX/DP allowed)
Courtesy runner can be last batted out or sub for catcher & pitcher. 
International Tie Breaker - Last batted out goes to 2nd base, 1 out, no count on batter. If the game goes another inning, then it will start with bases loaded and 2 outs.

9U Specific Rules:
The oldest 9U player allowed to FULLY participate is a girl with a September 1st - 2015 birthdate! 
To allow more teams to participate... we will allow 2 girls in the lineup per team that are older than September 1st 2015 but younger than September 1st 2014. These 10U players that are older CANNOT pitch or catch AND they must bat at the end of the batting order. These 10U players must also wear a different color jersey.
Strike zone for the fall 9U Blowout WILL BE LARGE! Swing the BAT!  

Facility Rules:
NO Dogs or any animals, NO overnight vehicles/RV’s allowed at the tournament sites
$10 Daily Gate Fee for EVERYONE above 18 except 3 coaches and players!
No metal spikes, no seeds of any kind, no bubble gum.
Outside food and drinks ARE allowed
No pets unless you have service papers
Celina Location - No hanging items on the net behind home plate. Please bring a tripod. 
No Alcohol
Coaches are responsible for your fans. Abusive language or behavior WILL NOT be tolerated! If a parent is asked to leave the facility, the head coach goes as well for that game plus the next game.


Tournament Breakdown:

Rings for bracket finalists and champions
MVP rings for pool play games
Coin flip for home team in pool play
Higher seed in bracket is home team
Seeding goes off of in order - record, head to head, runs allowed, runs scored


Rain Policy:
All complexes are full turf! However, lightning and continuous rain could be an issue.
No games played 100% refund
2 games played 70% refund
3 games played 40% refund
4 or more games played – No refund
