    3 Game Guarantee
    Saturday: Pool Games
    Sunday:  Bracket Games
    Gold & Silver Sunday Brackets on divisions with 8+ teams.
    All teams must be ready and available to begin pool play Saturday at 8:00 am unless otherwise requested.

  4. GAME TIMES & PAP:
    (2 Man Crew):
    5u-6u: (1:00 or 6 inn) PAP $30
    7u-8u: (1:15 or 6 inn) PAP $35
    9u-12u: (1:30 or 6 inn) PAP $45
    13u-14u: (1:45 or 7 inn) PAP $50
    16u-18u: (2:00 or 7 inns) PAP $60
    (1 Man Crew):
    5u-6u: (1:00 or 6 inn) PAP $20
    7u-8u: (1:15 or 6 inn) PAP $25
    9u-12u: (1:30 or 6 inn) PAP $30
    13u-14u: (1:45 or 7 inn) PAP $35

    No new inning after time limit has expired.
    Game Clock starts at the conclusion of the plate meeting. No Drop Dead Time.
    Teams should be ready to play 15 minutes prior to game time.
    All games must start at their scheduled times unless otherwise approved by one of the tournament directors.

  5. PLAYER ROSTERS AND PARENT'S WAIVERS:
    You will need the following Player's Information:
    1. Player's Full Name
    2. Player's Date of Birth
    3. Parent's Full Name
    4. Parent's Email Address

    Online Rosters are available until 12 midnight the night before the tournament. Please submit your online rosters as soon as possible. We are trying to do away with the paper rosters and there will be a point when we won't take them anymore.  Please help us with this matter.  Players that are not on an online or paper roster are not eligible to play!
    All coaches are responsible to fill out an online roster with all the player’s information and approved online by the player's parent prior to the start of the first game.
    Online rosters are frozen the night before tournament at 12 midnight.
    Paper Rosters will no longer be available.
    Players that are not online are not eligible to play!
    Please don’t forget to fill out your Player Roster online.
    In not doing so, could result in having illegal or ineligible players and/or forfeit of games.

  6. PLAYER AGE ELIGIBILITY:
    All Baseball Tournaments age divisions up to 18U will use the May 1 age cutoff date. To determine your team's age, determine your oldest player's age as of April 30th. Player participating in a given division cannot turn the next age before May 1st of the current season. Example: Player in 10U division cannot turn 11 before May 1st of the current season or he is too old for that division and must play in the 11U division. Players may play up (no more than two age divisions) but not down in age.
    All Coaches must have proof of players age with them at all times incase of a protest.

  7. TEAM INSURANCE:
    All Teams Must Have Team Insurance and submit a Certificate of Liability Insurance where

  8. SCHEDULE REQUEST:
    All teams must be ready and available to begin pool play Saturday at 8:00 am unless otherwise requested.  Please submit all schedule request using the schedule request tab on the event menu. We will take schedule request until the Tuesday evening prior to the event. You can block out a 4 hour block on Friday or Saturday that you cannot play only! Schedule request that are more restrictive than a 4 hour "no play" block will be difficult to accommodate but we will do our best!.

    Example of a schedule request we will accept: We cannot play between 8am and 12pm on Saturday.
    Example of a schedule request that we will have trouble accommodating: We cannot play before 4pm.
    Teams must be prepared to play from Friday evening until Sunday evening.

NCS BASEBALL PLAYING RULES:
NFHS Rules will be followed on all divisions unless otherwise noted on the SOUTH WEST REGION BASEBALL RULES (https://www.playncs.com/baseball/Rules/Details/6/south-west-region-baseball-rules) or on here below:

  1. METAL CLEATS:
    No metal cleats in 12u and under.
    No metal &/or rubber cleats on portable turf mounds.
    No metal &/or rubber cleats on turf fields &/or surfaces.
    No metal cleats are allowed at any of the McAllen Sports Facilities.

  2. TEAM LINE-UP CARD:
    Must be turned in to Home Plate Umpire at or before Home Plate meeting before the beginning of each game. All players participating in game must be entered on official team line-up card to be eligible to participate in game. Note: Any players arriving after the start of a game must be listed on the official team line-up card that was turned in to the umpires prior to the start of the game. Any late player may be added to the official team line-up card at any time during the course of the game. However, they must be added before they are eligible to play.
    PENALTY:  (Batting), player will be called out and will be added to the lineup as a substitute.  (Defense), No penalty and will be added to the lineup as a substitute.

  3. TEAM BATTING ROSTER:
    1. Teams in any age division may elect to bat 8 players with the 9th batter counted out,
    2. Teams in any age division may elect to bat 9 players with or without a DH (needs to be declared before the start of the game),
    3. Teams in any age division may elect to bat 10 players with the 10th player as an EH (needs to be declared before the start of the game),
    4. Teams in any age division may elect to bat entire player roster,
    5. Teams in any age division may bat any number of players (minimum of 8) with the remaining players as substitutes.
    Team must field a minimum of 8 players to start game. If a team has less than 8 players at game time is forfeit game. Teams may also bat entire roster in any age division. Teams in all age divisions may bat up to 9 batters using a DH or 10 players utilizing an EH (please refer to the SW Rules for more information on the DH and EH Rules). Teams electing to bat their entire roster should note that in case of a player not being able to continue due to injury will only be an out the first time that player's spot comes up in the batting order, however in the case of a player ejection &/or a player leaving early, the ejected/absent player's spot will be an out every time that player's spot comes up in the batting order. A minimum of 8 players shall be required to start a game and teams cannot finish with less than 8 players with the 9th spot being an automatic out every time up. 9th player can be added to line up in the 9th spot in the batting order at any time during the course of the game as long as that player is legally rostered on team. Starters may re-enter one time only in their original batting order. NOTE: In the event of a player being injured during the course of a game and injured player cannot continue and the team has no more players with eligibility (subs have been used) the last declared substitute used by respective team then will be allowed to sub for the injured player. No outs are declared at this point. This exception is used to promote player safety and in the spirit of fair play.

  4. TIE GAMES:
    Pool Play: TIE stands
    Bracket Play: NCS Tie-Breaker
    1st inning, last batted out from previous inning begins at 2nd base. No outs.
    2nd inning, loaded bases with last 3 batters. No outs.
    3rd inning, loaded bases with last 3 batters. 1 out.
    4th+ innings, loaded bases with last 3 batters. 2 outs.
    Championship Game will also use speed up.

  5. MERCY RUN RULES:
    (5u-8u):
    No Mercy Run Rule
    No mathematical calculation to end a game early.
    (9u-18u):
    10 runs after 4 innings. 

  6. BAT WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
    Wood and/or Non-Wood Bats stamped with any of the following:
    (BBCOR .50), (USSSA 1.15 BPF), (USA Baseball).
    5u-12u: (No weight restrictions)
    13u: (-8 max)
    14u: (-5 max)
    15u-18u: (-3 max)

  7. INTENTIONAL WALKS:
    May be announced by the manager in all age divisions.
    No pitches are necessary. 

  8. HOME TEAM:
    Coin Flip in all Pool Play games
    Single Elimination Bracket Play Games:
    High Seed chooses (Home/Visitor) in all
    Single Elimination Bracket Play Games INCLUDING the Championship Game.
    Double Elimination Bracket Play Games:
    High Seed chooses (Home/Visitor) in all Double Elimination Bracket Play games EXCEPT the Championship Game.
    The undefeated team chooses (Home/Visitor) in the Championship Game. Coin-flip for any “IF” Game. 

  9. OFFICIAL SCOREKEEPER:
    Home team must keep official score book.
    Visitor team keeps official score book if Home team doesn’t have one.
    Umpire(s) keeps official score if neither team is keeping an official scorebook.
    All teams go to home plate umpire with all changes.

  10. (5u-6u) T-BALL, (7u-8u) COACH PITCH , and (8u) KID PITCH RULES:
    NATIONAL BASEBALL RULES APPLIES WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:
    1. Teams DO NOT need to bat roster.
    2. Teams can play with 8 players. Only 9th player will be called out. 10th player is not called out.
  1. (5u-6u) T-BALL
    1. AT BAT: 3 swings per plate appearance. Any batter who does not put a ball in play after 3 swings will be declared out. Any batted ball must leave the ten-foot semi-circle to be declared a fair ball
    2. 5 Runs Max Per Inning on innings (1-3).
    3. Unlimited Runs on the 4th and after innings.
    4. No Mathematical Calculation to end a game early.
    5. No Mercy Rule.
    6. No Infield Fly Rule.
    7. The batter may not size up after it has been placed on the tee. The batter must wait for the verbal “batter bat” to swing
    8. The pitcher must maintain contact with rubber until batter swings
  2. (7u-8u) COACH PITCH
    1. AT BAT: 6 pitches or 3 swinging strikes not ending on a foul ball.
    2. 7 Runs Max Per Inning on innings (1-3).
    3. Unlimited Runs on the 4th and after innings.
    4. No Mathematical Calculation to end a game early.
    5. No Mercy Rule.
    6. No Bunting Allowed.
    7. No Infield Fly Rule.
    8. No Lead-offs and/or No Stealing Bases.
    9. Intentional Walks are only permitted once per player per game.
    10. Courtesy Runner for catcher is allowed.

  1. WHEN DO I PAY THE TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEE?
    All NCS Baseball tournaments are first pay/first play. Your entry into an event is not complete until you have paid the team entry fee. The division may sell out prior to the payment deadline. The number of available spots in a division may fluctuate depending on the needs of all divisions that share the same field size.

  2. DO WE SUPPLY OUR OWN BASEBALLS?
    NCS provides 3 baseballs to umpires for every game.
    We ask Coaches to help us retrieve the foul balls so that we can keep the game going.
    Coaches will need to provide their own baseball if NCS baseballs are not returned to the umpires.

  3. HOW DO I SUBMIT A SCHEDULE REQUEST?
    Please submit all schedule request using the schedule request tab on the event menu. We will take schedule request until the Tuesday evening prior to the event.   4. CAN WE BRING OUTSIDE FOOD AND COOLERS?
    No, participants and fans are NOT allowed to bring outside food, drinks and/or coolers.

  5. WHEN ARE OUR ROSTERS LOCKED AND WHAT DO I DO IF A PARENTS FORGETS/NEGLECTS TO SIGN THE WAIVER PRIOR TO THE CUTOFF?

  6. BEHAVIOR AT THE EVENTS:
    NCS has a zero tolerance policy towards disrespectful and adverse behavior. Any fan, parent, player or coach will be ejected from the event for adverse behavior towards a tournament official or umpire.

  7. DO I NEED TEAM INSURANCE?
    Yes, if you did not buy your policy through National Championship Sports you must add NCS (entity below) as an additionally insured. You can do this free of charge by contacting your insurance provider. We must receive your insurance by the Thursday prior to the event (email to NCS.SouthTexas@gmail.com)

  8. COVID 19 BEST PRACTICES:
    No matter if you agree or disagree with the seriousness of the virus or what your political affiliation is, we believe there is a way to get back to playing baseball and softball safely. We are not trying to debate these precautionary measures, we are simply trying to get back on the field safely under the parameters and guidelines set forth by the state, city and CDC.

  9. RAIN-OUT / TOURNAMENT CANCELLATION POLICY:
    Every effort will be made to complete an event already in progress if possible.
    In the event of an event being cancelled because of weather or any other unpreventable occurrence, teams will be issued a credit towards a future event. Schedules may be changed, games & events may be shortened, in order to complete the event if possible. In the event of rain cancelling an event already in progress or if an event/division is completely cancelled a team will receive credit based on the number of games played.  To determine the credit owed to a team see criteria below:
    1. No games played, a full credit of entry fee for a future event.
    2. One game played, 2/3 credit of entry fee for a future event.
    3. Two games played, 1/3 credit of entry fee for a future event.
    4. Three games played, no credit will be issued.
       All credits must be used with same director of the cancelled event and are not transferable to another area, region or director.

  10. TEAM CANCELLATIONS / REFUND POLICY:
    Teams cancelling or dropping out of any event, regardless of their reason to drop out, must notify the event director in writing via email & text message, not via phone.
    1. 1, 2 & 3 Day Events:
      Notification prior to 14 days of the event date, a full credit for a future event will be given. If you notify 7 to 14 days before, 50 percent of your fee will be credited for a future event. If you notify us fewer than 7 days before the event, no credit will be given.
    2. Regionals, NIT's, State Championships: 
      Deadline to cancel is 21 Business Days prior to event.
    3. World Series Events: 
      Entry fees or deposits are non-refundable at any time for any reason & will be forfeited should a team drop out from a World Series event. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions.
      Notice of team that wants to drop out of an event they have entered must be given by the team manager or the business manager of team. If a team drops out of an event, past the cancellation deadline, team will forfeit in full their team entry fee. NO EXCEPTIONS.
      No drops will be accepted once a division is "Sold Out" at any time. Any team dropping out before the deadline will receive a full credit for a future event.

      Note: Credits are at the sole discretion of the director and are awarded normally under only the most severe circumstances on a team to team basis. In the event that a team is given a future team credit that credit must be used by same team (no exceptions) **Any and all entry fee credits must be used within the same current season (which they are granted) or within 90 calendar days, which ever comes first, otherwise the credit becomes void. Credits must also be used by the same team (non-transferable) and with the same event director that you were originally scheduled to play with.  *Credit Card Processing fees are not refundable as we do not receive them when you submit payment with a credit card.
