TEAM REQUIREMENTS

All teams must:

• Be registered and sanctioned with NCS for the current 2025–2026 spring season.

• Upload and submit a copy of team insurance. Weekend-only insurance is no longer accepted.

• If you have outside insurance, please list NCS as an additional insured using the following information

• Complete and update online player rosters.
• Submit entry fee payment by the Monday before the tournament date.
• All Pine Tar Sports tournaments are FIRST PAY/FIRST PLAY. Your entry into an event is not complete until you have paid the entry fee and/or the gate fee, regardless of whether you have registered for the tournament. The division may sell out (and oftentimes does) prior to the payment deadline. The number of available spots in any given division may fluctuate.

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS

• 0 games started: 100% credit.
• 1 game started: 50% credit.
• 2 games started: No credit.

CREDIT POLICY

Starting August 15th 2025

We will no longer issue refunds for events, credits ONLY towards other Pine Tar Events.

• Teams withdrawing by Sunday (prior to the event start date): 100% credit.
• Teams withdrawing after Sunday but by 12 PM on Monday: 50% credit.
• Teams withdrawing after 12 PM on Monday: No credit.
• Teams in divisions that do not make: 100% credit.
• Credits can only be used toward another Pine Tar tournament.

PAYMENT, ROSTERS & INSURANCE

• Entry fee payment deadline: Monday before event date.

• If purchased outside NCS, NCS must be added as an additionally insured party.

GAME TIME LIMITS

• Coach Pitch Games: 65m Pool / 75m Bracket

• 9U-13U Games: 1h 25m Pool / 1h 30m Bracket

GENERAL ADMISSION

We are no longer accepting cash or other electronic payments at the gates. All tickets must be purchased in advance or online at the gate.

Daily pass: $10.00

Coaches will receive 3 passes via text and/or email through Duesy on Thursday.  

Please bring sure all coaches are listed on the NCS site with contact info.  

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

• 3 Game Guarantee
• Saturday: 2 Pool Games
• Sunday: Single Elimination Bracket Games

Game Scheduling:

• Teams must be available to play Saturday 8:00 AM - Sunday 10:00 PM.
• Be ready to play 15 minutes before scheduled time.
• Game clock starts after the plate meeting.
• Games must run the full time limit unless 6-7 innings are complete or run-ruled.
• The game will finish if the home team leads after time has expired.

PRIZES & AWARDS

• Gold Division Champions: 12 Pine Tar Championship Rings
• Silver Division Finalists: 12 Pine Tar Silver Rings
• MVP Awards: One per team in the championship game
• Championship Banners for Gold and Silver divisions

VENUE RESTRICTIONS

• No MOLDED OR metal cleats on portable pitching mounds or turf surfaces.
• No food/drinks on turf playing fields, dugouts, or pitching mounds.

OFFICIAL LINE-UP / SCORECARD

• Must be completed and turned in to the Home Plate Umpire before each game.
• All participating players must be listed online.
• Late-arriving players must be listed before they can play.

TIE GAME RULES

• Pool Play: Game ends in a tie once time expires.
• Bracket & Championship Games: Loaded bases, last 3 batters on, 1 out, count 0-0.

MERCY RUN RULES

• 15 runs after 3 innings
• 10 runs after 4 innings
• 8 runs after 5 innings

HOME TEAM DETERMINATION

• Pool Play: Coin Flip
• Bracket Play & Championship Games: Higher Seed Chooses Home/Visitor
